| Spotlight - Hispanic Heritage Month |
Since 1968, American has honored the culture, traditions and contributions of people from the Spanish-speaking world with a celebration each September. Originally a week long, it was expanded in 1988 to last a month. The starting date, September 15, was chosen to correspond to the independence celebrations of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico’s independence is celebrated on September 16 th, and Chile’s on September 18 th.
Some great resources on Hispanic Heritage Month inclue the US Census Facts for Features, the Smithsonian Institution and PBS.
Maybe you’re a human resources director or plant manager who wants to be able to communicate more effectively with your Spanish-speaking employees, or perhaps you have an employee whose English skills or accent would benefit from some individual attention. Either way, talk to us about the benefits of language coaching. But don’t just take it from us:
I would recommend this program to any employer looking to have better communication and and a better relationship with their employees. While I am not fluent in the language, my employees have noticed a huge difference in my communication, and we have improved productivity by 15%. Employees that rarely spoke to me or asked questions before now feel comfortable asking me questions or addressing concerns .

WLS helped us respond to an urgent RFP by translating 100+ pages of content in a 3-day period. They were in contact with us morning and night to ensure that we were all on track. Given the global nature of our business, we often need to translate our communications into multiple languages. I would definitely use WLS for our translation needs again.
